Since there is still some confusion over which plot is actually ours I’ve decided to pass the time doing some research.
My Dad and Step-Mum have just bought me a book (pictured) called The Classic Allotment by Gordon Thornburn. They picked it up in a garden centre on a recent trip to Basingstoke. It contains a pretty comprehensive list of plants to grow and what to do with the produce. I’m currently dipping in and out of it whilst drinking copious amounts of tea.
I’m also doing an online Horticulture course at the moment to improve my general plant knowledge and really need to try and complete my next module. It’s a bit slow going…
I am hoping to hear back from the council next week about the plot, then we can start planning it out properly.
